Early Childhood, Youth, Families

Hi, my name is Paulina Latifpour, and I am psychology student at Bright Star Counselling.

I'm currently completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, and I plan to pursue a Master of Social Work after graduation. I'm passionate about mental health and helping all ages feel supported, heard, and empowered, and I'm excited to continue building a career where I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

At the clinic, I facilitate social skills groups for children with a variety of needs, including anxiety, autism, ADHD, and other social-emotional challenges. I also meet with parents during the intake process, helping families feel comfortable and supported as they begin group sessions at Bright Star Counselling.

Through my experience working with children and families, my passion for supporting children's social and emotional development has continued to grow. I've discovered how rewarding it is to help children build confidence, strengthen social skills, and navigate everyday challenges, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of that journey.

I strive to create a positive, welcoming environment where every child feels understood, encouraged, and comfortable enough to learn, grow, and be themselves. I feel fortunate to be part of each child's journey and look forward to continuing to support them.
