My name is Katie (she/her), and I have my provisional licence as an Occupational Therapist. I am passionate about working alongside children and their families to support meaningful participation in daily routines. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity Western University, a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta. Before entering the occupational therapy field, I worked as an elementary school teacher in the Lower Mainland, where I had the privilege of supporting children with a wide range of strengths, learning styles, and abilities. During that time, I discovered a deep interest in understanding how to help children thrive in the activities that matter most - learning, playing, building friendships, and navigating everyday routines with confidence. As an occupational therapist, I strive to create a warm, engaging, and welcoming environment where each child’s unique strengths and interests guide the therapy process. My practice is grounded in a family-centred and play-based approach, with the goal of empowering children and caregivers through collaborative, evidence-informed support. Outside of work, I love taking my dog Pippin out for long walks, curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee, and spending time adventuring with family and friends.
