All Ages
My name is Candace Chau and I am an occupational therapist who loves to support children and families to build the skills to do the things they love - whether that is playing with friends, navigating school tasks with more confidence, or feeling more comfortable in their own bodies. I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Masters of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. My experience at BC Children’s Hospital during my masters degree included creating emotional regulation plans through standardized and informal assessments and collaborating with children and their families to support each child’s unique needs. While my passion is working with children, my occupational therapy experience includes working in both acute and inpatient settings at Providence Health Care in physical, medical, mental health, and rehabilitation units. I value compassion, curiosity, collaboration, communication, and celebrating progress, and will work alongside children and their families to explore what matters most and create a plan that fits each child’s unique needs and interests.
