Would you like to help your children thrive outside of our office hours? Bright Star Counselling offers several educational and growth opportunities for parents, children, individuals, and families. Discover how you can support your loved ones by attending our social skills workshops, early childhood workshops for parents, and many more. We also often run groups based on our community's requests, not only in Port Moody BC but also throughout Vancouver and the Tri-Cities.

Social Skills Group
Navigating the social world is tough at any age. Bright Star Counselling is excited to offer a 6-week social skills group for children ages 8-12 to increase their social problem-solving skills, build confidence, and become better social detectives in their school and personal lives.
Jula McCarron, Registered Clinical Counsellor, and Carleigh Henly, Registered Occupational Therapist, will use elements from the Social Thinking Curriculum to expand your child's social competencies, while offering real life practice of these skills in a small group format. We are excited to support your child's social emotional learning, increase their positive relationships, provide a safe space to build friendships, and have fun.
Please call our clinic to find out more about group dates and times. Many groups are run based on demand from our clients and community needs.
