Supporting Your Child Through Grief: Parent Talk Podcast

ree

I had the pleasure of speaking with Geneviève Kyle Lefebvre and Heather Fox McCrindle, for their weekly parenting podcast, Parent Talk.

As parents, there is no official guidebook for how to speak to our children about death. On this episode I discussed with Geneviève and Heather:

  • How to explain death to a child. Honesty is the best policy.

  • How to know if your child is grieving. Signs to look for that your child is processing their feelings about the loss.

  • What you can do as a parent to help your child understand and cope with a death.
