My name is Angela and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Counselling and Human Development from Simon Fraser University, and a Master of Counselling Psychology: Art Therapy degree from Adler University.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked across schools and non-profit organizations, where I supported neurodiverse children in navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In this role, I helped children develop practical skills for social, academic, and daily life.
As a counsellor, I integrate skill-building techniques with an understanding that children also need a safe space to process their thoughts and emotions. Through art therapy and play therapy, I create opportunities for children to express themselves, learn how to manage big emotions, and practice effective coping strategies.
I help children in areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficulty adjusting to change. I also collaborate with parents to understand the family’s specific needs and include each family’s unique strengths into the therapeutic process. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive, empowering both children and their families to heal and grow.
I look forward to connecting with you and your family!
